Who we are...

A Tail To Tell, Inc is a group of 2 women dedicated to freeing dogs
from the horrors of the puppy mills.

We didn't come by this group accidentally.  Each of us; -  - Deb
(President) - Cindy (Treasurer) started out with a wonderful group
called PuppymillRescue, Inc.

This group takes the sickest of the sick, the old, the scared and the
severely damaged/traumatized dogs and gives them the vet care,
love and hope that they so desperately need.  I have seen dogs go
into PuppymillRescue that I thought wouldn't make it for very long -
within weeks I am watching their web site and reading all about the
little dog and how the vet, the wonderful foster homes and the great
support of the group has completely changed this little dog's life.  A
little dog that couldn't hold its head up, walk on the grass or eat from
a bowl is suddenly running freely in the grass, eating ravenously from
its new bowl, playing with toys and cuddling with foster mom every
chance it gets.  It's because of the wonderful work that is being done
at www.puppymillrescue.com that these dogs finally get the life they
so deserve.  We worked with this group for several years and it is
because of this group that we finally decided to form our own group;
www.atailtotell.com.  We realized that they had more then enough on
their plate but they would never refuse to help - just one more.  We
knew that to be really effective we needed to focus solely on the
Pennsylvania puppy mills ourselves.  PuppymillRescue is still very
much involved in many of our transports and rescues.  They will take
in a dog that is unclaimed by another group and welcome it into their
fold.  We are devoted to following the same guidelines as
PuppymillRescue.

A Tail to Tell, Inc. works with other rescue groups.  We assist in
pulling unwanted/retired puppy mill survivors from the Amish puppy
mills in Pennsylvania, and from other commercial breeders here in
the Northeast US.  We work with other local and national rescue
groups that take these abused and neglected dogs into their care to
help them heal, and help them find the love and the care that they so
deserve.  We also take dogs into our own group.  We provide
veterinary care, and loving foster homes while we work to find the
best forever homes possible for our dogs.
