Hi everyone -- Thank you for letting me adopt such a sweet puppy -- he's a dream! I'm so in love! We've had a great first 36 hours together! Right now, he's sleeping in a little bed by my desk while I work. He's so great! Thanks to his wonderful foster parents -- the Collins family -- for being so loving to him and so gracious and generous to me. They sent Buddy off with several bags of toys, food, a coat, supplies and treats! They were so smart to send him with toys, a towel and sheet that smelled like his foster house and triggered happy, familiar memories for him. He was understandably nervous in the first moments at my house -- a brand new place -- but literally the moment I unpacked his toys and bedding and he was surrounding by those smells, he started wagging his tail and hopping around the room! Those gifts helped make his transition so much easier! Thank you -- that was a brilliant move! He was instantly calmed by those smells and familiar toys. He immediately became relaxed and happy and has been content ever since! That was such a smart idea! He even slept through the whole night in his bed, snuggling with is favorite things. Thank you for being so generous with all the supplies and toys -- he's been very loved already by you and I hope to continue that! I know it was hard to let him go. Thank you for trusting me to give him a good home. Thank you for being such a sweet foster family for him! Thank you for giving me such a little sweetheart. I can't thank you all enough for all the effort, emotion and time you put into Buddy and all the other dogs you save. As much as you save them, you also save the news families they go to. My life will be happier and richer with Buddy. Saying thank you hardly seems to be enough. I will keep in touch and send you photos and updates. Please let me know about rescue events. Much love, Jessica

LOLA: We have had our very first adoption!!! Congratulations to Gena of Philadelphia who just adopted Bonnie, now known as Lola Marie! Gena fell in love with Lola, we fell in love with the two of them together and we have decided to allow Gena to be Lola's new mommy. Gena will be joining our group shortly and she has promised to send updates and photos. Below are pictures of their first meeting. How great is this!

LOGAN: In a joint effort, A Tail to Tell, Inc., rescued Logan (along with Lola above, and 17 other dogs) on Saturday, June 10th 2006. Logan has also found his forever home! Linda adopted her little angel, and we do believe it was love at first sight! Logan and Lola came from a puppy mill where the dogs were kept in 3 foot by 4 foot wooden boxes. They NEVER saw the sun or even had the luxury of looking out between the wire. Imagine that your world was wooden walls, covered with feces and urine, inches from your face. Most of these dogs vomited wood pieces the day they were rescued. They were either eating wood to survive or they were trying to free themselves...we're not sure which - but either one is so very sad. Here are some wonderful pictures of little Logan and his new family!

Carlee Jean was rescued from a Lancaster PA puppy mill in November of 2005. These dogs were in such bad shape that the miller had shaved them down - I guess even he was embarrassed at how bad they were. Carlee Jean was taken care of and fostered by Bonnie M., of PuppymillRescue. Carlee Jean found her forever home through PuppymillRescue and now has a fursister, Dublin. Below are some more pictures of Carlee Jean and her new family.

Petunia Blossom Gets a Home! Congratulations to Christina and to little 'Tuna!! Tuna is pleased as punch with her new brother Nick, a rat terrier and her 2 new sisters Big Momma cat and Itsy cat. But even more exciting is living with her real big sister, Emily, who can't show enough love to Tuna. Tuna couldn't ask for a better home! Her new mom, Christina was very patient with Tuna while she had some ongoing medical issues as a result of being over bred, in the mills, to the point of having severe uterine infections. We're happy to report that Tuna is doing wonderfully now, as you can see in the pictures...

In Memory of our dear FRANKLIN: FRANKLIN HAD THE MOST PERFECT HOME UNTIL HE LEFT US TO GO TO THE RAINBOW BRIDGE. THANKS TO JOANN AND MATT FOR LOVING HIM BEYOND WORDS AND TO ALL WHO HELPED THIS LITTLE MAN KNOW THAT HE WAS LOVED! STAY TUNED FOR HIS MEMORIAL ON HIS RAINBOW PAGE

LUCY, with her new parents Julia and Paul

Lucy is one of our youngest survivors to be freed! At 3 months old, she was bursting with love and energy. It was love at first sight between Julia and Lucy...Lucy is lucky enough to be an only child and therefore able to be spoiled beyond belief. She seems to have settled right into her new home after only being out of the mill for 1 week. We look forward to hearing more about Lucy as she grows up and, of course, seeing lots of pictures! We've also been lucky enough to have met Lucy's new parents who are blessed with the gift of photography and video-making.....they have offered to make a documentary for A Tail To Tell that will show exactly what puppy mill dogs have gone through and continue to suffer with.....Please stay tuned for further details!! Thank you Paul and Julia! Below are 2 pictures of Lucy with her friend Rufus-who was her foster brother for 1 week.

MUFFIN Our Liza Minelli was discovered off Broadway, by a wonderful family who is full of Peace....Sheila, Ken and the kids, that is....They decided that Muffin was a much more fitting name for this wonderful bundle of joy. It's quite obvious that her new family absolutely loves Muffin!! She was lucky enough to go out on Halloween night with her siblings. And she's especially bonded with her new fursister, Pebbles. We're so happy for Muffin and her new family.
